Head Teacher's Welcome
A very warm welcome to our website. I hope that you find our website useful and informative and it gives you a flavour of our school and what we are all about.
We are a very supportive school with a real 'family feel' to it.
Ofsted recognised our 'outstanding' commitment to pastoral care. We care about our children and our families and strive to support and be fully involved in community life.
As a small school we can offer average class sizes of approximately 20 children with good ratios of staff to pupils. We are able to provide many opportunities for personalising learning which really caters to the needs of the children. We are a real family and as a family we always work together to continue to 'Learn to live and Live to learn'.
We are keen to expand our children's experiences and we take every opportunity to forge links with other schools and communities. We work as part of a sports partnership which gives our children the chance to take part in many sporting events and competitions against other schools in our area. We are also part of a collaborative partnership with four local schools, working very closely together for the benefit of our children.
We offer an exciting and stimulating curriculum which is practical and based on first hand experiences. Our children have loved learning about a range of themes including car mechanics, under the sea and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! (Please see the curriculum section of our website for more information)
We have a commitment towards learning through the arts and in recognition of this we have been awarded Artsmark Gold which we are very proud of.
Having read about our school, may I warmly invite you to contact us by phone, email or visit to see us in action. Any of the staff will be pleased to answer any further questions you may have and the children will be delighted to show you around!
We look forward to hearing from you.
Very best wishes,
A Welcome From Our Children
