Football

The school football team continue to improve and develop thanks to the support of visiting coaches. Mr P's team have already entered the local tournament where they played some great football but unfortunately missed out on progressing to the next round.
Miss Freeman also took the team to play Navenby in a friendly match.
Thank you to all of the staff, parents and helpers who provided the transport to these events!

Whole school X-country

On Tuesday 11th November we had a whole school cross-country running competition at the Village Hall playing fields. The event had 3 different tracks; the yellow route for key stage one, the red route for year 3/4 and the blue route for Y5/6. Mrs Good rang the starter bell and the children whizzed off around the course! The children showed good determination to get around the course as fast as they could... so much so that they asked to do it again. On the second go, there were lots of children improving their positions but a special mention must go to both Pippa Henwood and Alice Livingstone for moving up 17 places on the finish!

House Basketball

We have been really busy in PE this term! Amethyst class have been working with Coach Dom from Carre's Grammar School. Together, they have been developing invasion game skills so were delighted to put them into practice in the Autumn Term One house sport competition of Basketball.
Miss Freeman was delighted with the effort the children put in and looks forward to the next competition. In the meantime, why not check out the "CGS Outreach" YouTube channel? There is a video on there to help you practice your basketball dribbling skills.

A Special Book

One of my favourite books is The lion, the witch and the wardrobe. I think this story is very imaginative and when I was younger I used to check in the back of my wardrobe! Has anyone read the story? What did you think?
